Roberto Santasofia

About Me:

Roberto Santasofia has over 15 years of experience in the volleyball coaching and recruiting landscape. He began his career at OTVA in Orlando, where he worked from 2005 to 2024, holding various roles including Recruiting Coordinator, Tournament Director, and Volleyball Coach. During his time as Recruiting Coordinator, Santasofia managed the accounts of student-athletes, guiding them through every step of the recruiting process. He facilitated communication between college coaches and players, ensuring timely updates and fostering strong relationships. His attention to detail helped student-athletes remain on track with their academic and athletic goals, ensuring they were prepared for recruitment success.

As Tournament Director, Santasofia was responsible for overseeing tournament registrations, payments, and rosters for 78 club teams. He meticulously organized weekend tournaments and coordinated staffing and logistics to ensure smooth event operations. His leadership in this role helped create seamless experiences for athletes and coaches alike.

Throughout his coaching career, Santasofia achieved remarkable success, including three USA National Championships and six AAU National Championships. He also coached over 20 teams to National Championship Qualifications in the Open Division. His coaching expertise was further demonstrated during his tenure as an Assistant Coach at Rollins College from 2006 to 2014, where he helped lead the team to four seasons ranked in the Top 25 and four NCAA Regional Tournament appearances. Santasofia also served as the Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Florida Atlantic University in 2014-2015, contributing to the program's growth and success.

With a deep understanding of the recruiting process and a passion for developing student-athletes, Santasofia has had a lasting impact on every program he has been a part of.
