Matt Girouard

Matt Girouard brings a wealth of experience from both collegiate and club volleyball to IMG Academy. Since 2021, he has served as an assistant and interim head coach at Flagler College, helping lead the team to the regional finals in 2022. Previously, he was at Wilmington College during the 2020-2021 academic year and held various coaching positions at the University of Dayton for two seasons.

In 2014, Girouard was a volunteer assistant at the University of Wisconsin, contributing to a standout season that included a 31-3 record, a Big Ten Championship, and an NCAA Elite Eight appearance. His role involved managing scouting and film analysis for both practices and opponents.

In 2015, he became the assistant coach at Division II Urbana University, where he played a key role in transforming the Blue Knights into strong contenders in the Mountain East Conference. After a brief break from collegiate coaching, Girouard returned to his roots, coaching at Archbishop Alter High School and his home club, Air City Chicks. He also has three years of experience as a commentator for University of Dayton volleyball matches on ESPN+.
