Ian Ryan

About Me:

A native of Greenport, NY on the East End of Long Island. Recently moving from Miami, FL where he has held Strength and Conditioning positions at 3 different schools over the last 4 years. Most recently with Florida International University where he started as a Graduate intern working with football, baseball, softball, track & field as well as tennis. He was then promoted to an Assistant position where he continued with football and took over programming for softball. Prior to that he was a Graduate S&C Intern at the University of Miami. While at Miami Ian assisted with women’s soccer, track &field, rowing and men’s and women’s basketball. Before UM he was a S&C Intern with the St. Thomas University Bobcats football team during their first two seasons as a program. While at St. Thomas he assisted with team lifts while also running developmental lifts for non-travel players and designing and implementing workouts for rehabilitation lifts. Ian is married to his wonderful wife Erika.

• B.S. in Applied Sport and Exercise Science from Barry University (Miami Gardens, FL)
• M.S.Ed. in Applied Physiology - Concentration in Strength and Conditioning from the University of Miami
• NSCA - Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
• USA Weightlifting Level 1 Certified
• CPR/AED Certified
