Christopher Fluter was hired in the fall of 2018 to assist with the implementation of physical conditioning program for a wide variety of sports at IMG Academy. Fluter comes to IMG from Wichita State University where he was an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach and previously Graduate Assistant. He was responsible for the direct design and implementation of strength and conditioning programs for the track and field team and, for a period of time, the women’s basketball team. He also assisted with the facilitation of training programs for men’s basketball and baseball teams.
Prior to his time at Wichita State, he served two internships at the University of Alabama and at Wichita State University. As an intern at Wichita State he assisted with the facilitation of training programs for volleyball, women’s basketball, softball, women’s golf and women’s tennis.
While at Alabama he assisted primary with the football, swimming and diving, and volleyball teams. Before getting into collegiate strength and conditioning, Fluter was a football and strength and conditioning coach at Maize High School in Kansas.
Fluter is Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) as well as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He also holds a Level-1 Sports Performance Coach certification through USA Weightlifting.
Fluter is a two-time graduate of Wichita State University earning a Bachelors and Masters degree in Exercise Science.
