What to know before booking a sports camp at IMG Academy

Booking your child’s sports camp can feel overwhelming at first. That’s why understanding the registration process, overall camp experience, and knowing about special rates, refunds and cancellations will put your mind at ease and allow you to book with confidence.

THE SPORTS CAMP REGISTRATION PROCESS

IMG Academy has four training programs for each sports camp that are designed with the aspiring athlete in mind. Athletes will learn from IMG’s professional coaching staff, whether it’s during a 1-week sport camp or a fully-immersive, multi-week camp.

When selecting the athletic training camp or camp program for your sport of choice, each sports camp page on IMG’s website features a booking option, so you can get started right then and there.

There are three key things to remember when starting your athletic camp registration:

• Camps are available year-round, with January-March, June-August, and December as the most popular months among athletes. It’s important to book as early as possible to reserve your spot and ensure availability.
• IMG offers both boarding and non-boarding options for campers, although we recommend staying on campus for the full camp experience.
• Sports camp registration closes 10 days prior to the start of each camp, although this can vary depending on IMG’s COVID protocols and Safer Campus initiative.
• Prices may increase closer to a booking date, so book early to ensure you lock in the best prices as well as claim your spot.

WHAT PARENTS AND CAMPERS NEED TO KNOW

Athletes leave IMG sports training camp experiences with refined techniques and skills, enhanced performance and focus, and increased strategy and confidence. IMG prioritizes that every camper, regardless of their sport, maximizes their IMG Academy athletic training experience. Keep these three tips in mind to maximize your athlete’s training camp experience:

• Though a few factors such as boarding and sport training availability need to be considered, any athlete attending an athletic camp can extend their camp stay while on campus, pending availability.
• Check-in is on Sunday for every camper, while check-out is on Saturday. This applies to every sports training camp (except for some Holiday and Tournament camps).
• Groups of five or more campers can receive a discounted rate for booking together. More details are explained in the next section.

When booking five or more campers at a time for a sports training camp, IMG Academy can offer benefits and discounts, from saving 5% on booking with a group of five, to saving up to 20% on booking with a group of 20 student-athletes. Check the Special Rates page for the latest promotions, though.

Other perks such as housing together based on age, gender, and availability, and free boarding for 1 chaperone per 10 campers are also offered to students registered in groups pending availability and season. REFUNDS AND CONSULTATIONS

Can’t make it to camp or have something else come up? No need to worry; we understand! Book with confidence with our refundable camp package options. Each camp offers the option to purchase a refundable package. With this option, IMG Academy will refund the amount that was paid to purchase the package if the package is canceled at least 48 hours in advance of your original scheduled date of arrival excluding a service fee equal to 2.5% of the total amount paid for your package.
