On Wednesday, May 18, 2022, GEICO High School Lacrosse Nationals announced the field for the 2022 tournament. Among the four teams selected, IMG Academy's boys national team will be heading to Catholic University’s Carlini Field in Washington, D.C. for their first round against Taft School (Conn.)
Led by Head Coach Spencer Wright, IMG Academy concluded the regular season with an 11-2 record. Among the roster, some of the key players as noted by GEICO and ESPN include Class of 2023 seniors Trey Sacus (Bucknell), Braden Erksa (Maryland), Midfielder Chris Caldwell (Denver), and Ryan Sforzo (Notre Dame.)
Set to take place on Monday and Tuesday, May 30-31, this will be the fifth annual GEICO Nationals. The two-day single elimination tournament will be broadcast on ESPNU as well as on the ESPN App via connected devices.
