Song graduated from IMG Academy in 2002 after a junior career that included 8 tournament wins. In 2000, she finished T-40 in the Women's U.S. Open as an amateur.

Following her time at IMG Academy Song played collegiately for the University of Florida. Her rookie season on the LPGA Tour was 2005.

Song now serves as a golf coach with IMG Academy.
