Football Camps

The Nation's Top Football Program

Football camps at IMG Academy provide position-specific training from coaches who have instructed and competed at the highest levels of the game. Our camps combine elite football instruction with physical and mental conditioning for all-around development. Our athletes receive position-specific coaching with digital video analysis to break down technique and make lasting improvements. Players will improve balance, movement, concentration, confidence, flexibility and power at every one of our camp options.

How You'll Improve

Performance

Increase speed/agility, build explosive power, improve confidence/focus, learn injury prevention techniques

Kickers/Punters

Leg swing, ball striking, long-distance kicking, and accuracy. Ball drops/leg swings, pooch punting, directional punting and goal-line punting

Offensive/Defensive Linemen

Proper fundamentals and techniques of stance, run-blocking, pass protection, and combination blocks. Pass rush skill, gap control and tackling

Quarterbacks

Footwork, proper mechanics, how to read every type of coverage, correct Arc ‘n Pace, play-calling and learning a playbook

Running Backs/Wide Recievers

Ball security, footwork, blocking, pre-snap reads, pass-catching skill, route-running, releases off the line of scrimmage

Defensive Backs/Linebackers

Footwork, ball skills, tackling, blitzing, pre-snap reads and man-to-man and zone coverage techniques

Coaching

Led by Director Steve Walsh and Head Coach Kevin Wright, our football program consists of an expert coaching staff with both collegiate and professional playing and coaching experience who focus on position-specific instruction, small-group training techniques and mental and physical conditioning to focus on specific areas of improvement to take your game to the next level

— Attendees of our football camps will have access to our state-of-the-art stadium, fieldhouse complete with pro-style locker rooms, more than 20 multi-sport fields, a 10,000 square foot weight room and multiple strategy rooms.

— All of our facilities are maintained at a professional standard to ensure the perfect training environment for every athlete.

Football Camp Schedule

Morning

7 - 7:45am: Breakfast
8:30 - 11am: On-field, position-specific skill work and classroom training
11 - 12pm: Physical Conditioning in weight room

Afternoon

12 - 1pm: Lunch/Rest
1 - 2pm: Performance discipline for the TOTAL ATHLETE program
3 - 5pm: On-field, position-specific skill work/scrimmages and classroom training
5:30 - 7pm: Dinner

Evening

7 - 10pm: Chaperoned on-campus or off-campus activities (movies/trivia/pool parties)
10pm: Sleep

On-campus activities
The hub of activity in the evenings revolves around the residence halls and the junior pool area. Activities include: swimming; movies; recreation room (with video games, foosball and a pool table) and more

Off-campus activities
Campers also have the opportunity to have off-campus fun through scheduled and chaperoned day trips to destinations like local beaches, amusement parks, water parks, museums and other venues
