About Me

Weylu Chang grew up in the North Shore of Boston. As a child, he played all sports, soccer, basketball, lacrosse, and tennis. Growing up in the city of Boston groomed him to become a big sports fan. Therefore, from a young age, Weylu grew a passion for supporting my Boston sports teams, the Red Sox are his favorite. When tennis became the biggest part of his life, Weylu's parents decided to send him to Bradenton, Florida to train with Nick Bollettieri at IMG Academy at the age of 14. During Weylu's time as a student at IMG Academy Weylu played on the ATP Futures tour and then earned a scholarship to play for the University of Alabama. Weylu began his coaching career in 2001 and enjoys teaching students the life lessons that have enriched his own life.

When Weylu is off court he spends his time with his beautiful wife and three children. Weylu also volunteers as an adult leader in the middle school ministry at Bayside Community Church. Weylu still enjoys playing competitive tennis, is an avid golfer, and loves hitting the gym.
