About Pete Paciorek

Pete comes to IMG Academy after what will be his sixth season as the head coach at Principia College. Prior to Pete’s time at Principia he served as an assistant at Cal State Los Angeles and at Whittier College.  Pete has also spent time in the Northeast League coaching professional Independent players.  He was drafted as a player in 1994 in the 16th round by the San Diego Padres and spent 9 years between the Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers organizations. 

He also comes from a long line of professional baseball players.  His dad John and his uncles Tom and Jim Paciorek all played in the Major Leagues.  Uncles Robert and Mike played minor league baseball, as well as his brother Mack and cousins Tommy and Joey.

  • Led Principia to school record in wins in his last 3 consecutive seasons
  • Under Paciorek, Principia hitters shattered more than 30 offensive records

3 Years as Field Manager/Head Coach for DI college summer wood bat league 2007-2009

  • Danville Dans (Prospect League—formerly CICL)
  • Named CICL Coach of the Year in 2008
  • Coached 14 players on Danville Dans who were drafted by MLB organizations

2 Years as Assistant Coach—Cal State Los Angeles (NCAA DII) 2005 & 2006

  • Helped lead to NCAA DII Regional Final Game in 2006
  • Team Ranked 6th in nation DII
