Stockton, Calif. - Pacific men's tennis sophomore Sem Verbeek is ranked No. 95 in the country in the latest ITA Rankings.
Sem is playing at No. 1 singles for the Tigers, where he holds a 3-2 record in dual matches in 2014. His record includes a victory over then No. 45 Samir Iftikhar and over Stanford No. 1 John Morrissey. He also plays doubles with freshman Miguel Diaz for Pacific.
"Sem had a very solid win this past weekend against New Mexico's No. 1 player who was, at the time No. 45," said Pacific Men's Tennis Head Coach Ryan Redondo. "As a sophomore and leader of the line-up, Sem is improving everyday. Even his losses he turns into lessons which is the sign of a champion. It's very exciting to watch him grow."
