The IMG Academy Bollettieri Tennis program's Top Nidunjianzan was unstoppable recently at the Little Mo Internationals held in Forest Hills, N.Y., Aug. 18-24. Nidunjianzan entered the tournament as the No. 8 seed in his division. The nine-year old ran through five rounds, defeating each of his opponents in straight sets, only yielding more than one game in a set once in the event during semifinals, when he defeated Ferdinand Bertmeu, 6-2, 6-0. In the final, it was smooth sailing for Nidunjianzan, as he dispatched seventh-seeded Paxton Pritchard, 6-1, 6-0.
Nidunjianzan, as an eight-year old one year ago, played up in the B9 bracket, but fell short of the title in the semifinals. Just one year later, he returned to the event and dominated the field. Nidunjianzan is already ranked among the top-25 prospects for the Class of 2022 according to TennisRecruiting.net, and his Little Mo title marks his first junior singles title.
