At the recent Elite Football Camp in Vejen, Denmark, held at the Road Spots Centre, IMG Academy Director of Girl's Soccer Bobby Johnston was in attendance to provide the same world-class instruction received by IMG Academy's full-time student-athletes to the nearly 70 aspiring young players attending the camp. The annual Elite camp focuses on the Barcelona-style philosophy with a greater emphasis on passing and ball handling. For Johnston, it was an opportunity to observe other nations' coaches and gain new insights to bring home and further develop the IMG Academy program. During his stay, Johnston also gave a presentation to more than 160 attendees. He also caught the attention of local media, and was featured in the local newspaper Fodbold For Piger and interviewed by one of the local television stations.
Johnston was invited to attend the camp by Lars Runge, founder of Elite Football Camps, whose daughter, Olivia Runge (pictured above with Johnston), recently enrolled at IMG Academy for the 2013-14 school year. The younger Runge is the midfielder for the Danish U15 Girls National Team.
