IMG Academy Bollettieri Tennis student-athletes have been putting up impressive results all over the world at ITF events. This week at the Grade 5 Amman International Tournament in Jordan, OJ Singh and Lalita Devarakonda of India took the doubles competition by storm, winnign four consecutive matches as they won the doubles title. In the final, Singh and Devarakonda, seeded third, knocked off the fourth-seeded team of Luciana Rabines (USA) and Emilie Schwarte (GER), 6-2, 6-3.
Meanwhile, roughly 1,500 miles west in Tunisia, another IMG Academy student-athlete to keep an eye on is 15-year old Katarina Kozarov of Servia. Kozarov is competing at the ITF Junior Tunisia, and reached the semifinals after besting Russia's Arina Nozdracheva in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2. Notably for Kozarov, the event marks only her third ITF appearance.
This continues a trend with IMG Academy student-athletes. Just last week in Guatemala, Nandini Das won her first career ITF title in her third-ever event, while her classmate Shweta Sangwan reached the semifinals.
